This disease has many names. All of them are familiar to you:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Alcoholic psychosis;<\/li>
  • Alcoholic delirium;<\/li>
  • Delirium tremens;<\/li>
  • “Squirrel”.<\/li><\/ul>

    Causes of occurrence<\/h2>

    So what is alcoholic psychosis?<\/p>

    According to experts, there are several reasons for the development of withdrawal delirium. Most often, their combination plays a role. In the first place are disorders of brain metabolism. The neurotoxic effects of ethanol and liver damage are of great importance. Add to this an elementary deficiency of vitamins, trace elements, impaired microcirculation in all organs and systems. Traumatic brain injuries in the past, severe somatic concomitant diseases, and old age are also a risk factor for the development of this condition.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tYou must clearly understand that alcoholic delirium can occur only in people who have long, with enviable regularity, alcohol ABUSE. Moreover, what is most offensive, it occurs only when a person for some reason (most often with the onset of another disease) has stopped drinking.\n\nIt would seem that this is wonderful. The man decided not to drink. From the word at all. Friends and relatives are happy. Yesterday’s drunkard took the path of correction. But in no case should you abruptly stop drinking alcohol for those who took it systematically. These are people who are at risk of developing alcoholic psychosis. On days 2-5 after a sharp refusal from alcohol in 10-15% of cases, according to statistics (and in my experience in 70-75%), this state occurs.\n
